Meet the Team: Welcome Shannon Gormley and Carla Araya
We’re delighted to welcome Shannon Gormley to the Ekos team!
Shannon joins us as a Sustainability Consultant, and we’re very happy to have her passion, skills and experience with us.
She’s someone you’ll usually find somewhere near the ocean, in the ocean, on the ocean, or staring at the ocean, and she brings that same love for the natural world into her work too.
Add in dogs, mushroom-spotting on walks, live music, popcorn, and a deep love of curry laksa, and safe to say she already feels like a great fit for us!
At Ekos, Shannon is part of the team helping businesses bring sustainability into their everyday and make real progress on their plans.
What she wants to do here sums things up pretty nicely: “I think our tagline does it justice, look after the place together. I want to help create tangible, positive outcomes for our planet and keep building an awesome community while I’m at it!”

A warm welcome to Carla Araya, who has recently joined the Ekos team!
Carla joins us as our Finance Administrator, helping keep the day-to-day financial side of Ekos running smoothly, from invoicing and payments to reconciliations and reporting.
She brings experience across financial analysis, capital markets, investment research, and client-facing roles, along with a real interest in how finance can support better environmental outcomes.
What drew Carla to Ekos was the chance to work at the intersection of finance and sustainability, and to be part of building a future where sustainability is embedded in business and investment decisions.
As Carla puts it: “I see financial markets as a powerful lever for change, and I would like to use my experience to help support the transition towards a more sustainable and resilient economy.”
Outside of work, Carla loves being near the ocean, paddle boarding, Zumba, and cooking, and has a soft spot for Italian food, especially prosciutto and cheese!
