The Voluntary Carbon Market operates through international standards like Plan Vivo, the Gold Standard and the Verified Carbon Standard. These involve a more rigorous international validation and verification process than the NZ ETS, so it’s a bigger undertaking, but still a solid path if your land doesn’t meet NZ ETS eligibility.
