Farewell to Cristina (But Not for Too Long!)

As Cristina begins a well-earned year-long sabbatical, we wanted to take a moment to say farewell—though thankfully, not for too long. While she’ll be missed, we’re excited for this next chapter and the experiences she’ll bring back with her.

With over four years’ experience as a sustainability professional, Cristina has played a meaningful role in advancing environmental progress through collaboration and thoughtful leadership. Her recent work has supported organisations ranging from small-to-medium enterprises to large manufacturing firms and councils, guiding them along their sustainability journeys. Beyond her work with us, Cristina also serves on the Board of Sustainable Queenstown and previously worked at Alborn Enterprises, part of the Marahau Sustainability Pledge and New Zealand’s first net-zero carbon itinerary.

Cristina’s strong academic foundation includes a Master’s in Environmental Policy and Management from Lincoln University, a first-class honours degree in Management from the University of Exeter, and a Distinction Postgraduate qualification from NMIT. This blend of knowledge and real-world experience has made her a valued and trusted member of the team.

Deeply connected to the natural world, Cristina spends her time outside of work hiking, climbing, and kayaking—passions that directly reflect her commitment to protecting the environment she loves.

We’re incredibly grateful for all that Cristina has contributed and the positive impact she’s had. We wish her an inspiring and rejuvenating sabbatical and look forward to welcoming her back before too long.

Enjoy every moment, Cristina—we’ll see you soon!
